Korean Government Scholarship Program for Diploma and Bachelor Degree 2017

Maybe you're the one that awaits this Korean Government Scholarship 2018. Korean Government Scholarship Program (KGSP). This time KGSP scholarships are aimed at high school graduates who want to take diploma or graduate courses at Korean universities. Full scholarships are provided which bear the need during study in Korea.

Education lasts about two years for the diploma (associate degree) and four years for the undergraduate. Plus will undergo a Korean language course about a year before the lecture. So the total duration is about 3 years for the diploma and 5 years for bachelor degree.

Especially for applicants Indonesia, there are three types of KGSP scholarship 2018 that can be applied. It is a diploma scholarship (equivalent to D2), undergraduate scholarship majoring in natural science and engineering, and scholarship via Korean Embassy in Jakarta.

The scholarship diploma (associate degree) provides a quota of 20 scholarships and is open to ODA member countries. Meanwhile, undergraduate scholarship majoring in natural science and engineering is available 25 scholarships and is open to applicants from 64 countries. Korean Government Scholarship Program

Requirements:


  1. Is a citizen of the country offered scholarship (one of Indonesia)
  2. Under 25 years of age as of March 1, 2018 (Born after 1 March 1993)
  3. Have good health, physical and spiritual
  4. Have graduated or will graduate high school / equivalent per 1 March 2018 (not eligible for those who have taken undergraduate / higher education)
  5. > Have a cumulative average score above 75 percent (out of 100 percent) or be in the best 25 percent rank during high school / equivalent (for diploma)  > Have an average cumulative grade of 80 percent (out of 100 percent) or be in the best 20 percent rank during high school / equivalent (for undergraduate)
  6. .> Willing to find a job in the relevant profession after a degree (diploma)  > Never received a scholarship from the previous Korean government (undergraduate)
  7. Have no limitations in traveling abroad
  8. Preferably for applicants who have Korean or English language skills
  9. Applicants may only register for one university

3. Personal statement (form 3)
4. Study plan (form 4)
5. Letters of recommendation, may be from the principal, teacher, or mentor (form 5)
6. Personal health assessment (form 6)
7. A copy of a high school diploma or equivalent or a temporary pass statement
8. A copy of the transcript
9. Proof of applicant's citizenship and parents (example: birth certificate, family card, parent's passport)
10. Award (optional)
11. A copy of Korean language proficiency certificate (TOPIX) or English (TOEFL, TOEIC, or IELTS)
12. Health certificate from doctor (form 7, special candidate who has passed the second round selection)
13. A copy of the applicant's passport (only candidates who have passed the second round selection)

Associate Degree (Diploma)
Registration is done at each university (September to October 2017). Applicants must directly check the scholarship registration instruction on the university web page of interest, including submitting the application documents above. Keep in mind, applicants may only apply at one Korean university. The guidelines are listed together with the KGSP associate degree scholarship application form. Deadline registration is decided by each university.

Bachelor (S1) Program of Science and Engineering
Scholarship application for S1 scholarship from KGSP is also conducted directly at Korean university. Prepare the required application documents and then submit it to the Korean university of interest. Please check directly to the university. Further instructions are also listed on the S1 scholarship application form for Science and engineering KGSP.

Bachelor Degree (S1) via Korean Embassy
Prepare the required application documents along with the requested application form. In the early stages, the documents that need to be submitted are enough points 1 to 11. Create one duplicate (original / legalized). Especially for Letter of Recommendation need 8 (eight) pieces.

Documents are translated into Korean or English if using the Indonesian language. The official translation must be certified by a notary.

In addition, the letter of recommendation was put in a sealed envelope by the recommender and addressed to the Korean Embassy.
